98 Neon... Originally NHRA SFWD.... Then NOPI Power Street, Now Whatever.  9.93 @ 141.7 so far. 

Update:  7/11/08  First five runs of NHRA license test.  Fifth run was 9.93 @ 141.7.  This was in street trim... full glass, 2 front seats, working power windows, wipers, lights, complete interior (minus rear seats), DOT M&H Cheaters front tires, front steel rims, stock rear neon wheels and tires. 

Update:  5/30/08   10.7 @ 137 with lots more untapped speed available.

Update:  5/29/08  Cage NHRA certified.

Update:  7/07 It's already been up to 132 mph on 23 PSI, but need to address slow launch with a higher stall converter.

 

 

Started the project in 2006... a 98 Neon,

Bought the Neon with a rod knocking, 2.0 16 valve motor. 

I had parts for 2 engines, so I'm building a 2.4 SRT motor and a 2.2 Neon head motor.  The 2.2 is going in first and the 2.4 will be the backup motor. 

Turbotrix Racing now has a machine shop on premises and did the machine work for my motors.  They have new Rottler boring, facing and head machines and regularly work on very high horsepower 4 cylinder motors.
